Why Do You Need Financial Planning

In addition to the cultural and economical problems of today’s world, there are many mistakes we do on a regular basis that can put our finances, our savings or our income in jeopardy.

How is our professional, family and economic life project supported? Who replaces the liquidity we produce with our daily work? How many of us, faced with a situation of economic adjustment, stop paying or cancel a life insurance policy or a retirement program and continue to pay for the insurance of a material asset that also causes us, surely, more expenses? What place does the concept of protection occupy in our planning and in our minds? Am I using well, or at least as well as possible, the instruments of protection that exist today?

We are also exposed to a great deal of error when we decide to review, implement or cancel a protection program.

In fact, since the pension reform in 1994 and in a context of economic stability, we began to talk about the importance of accumulating during the active stage in order to live with dignity in the passive stage. The importance of having life insurance to provide liquidity in the event of premature death or disability also began to be discussed. More than 20 leading international companies are competing for a market that today, seven years later, is in full development.

There is a great variety of proposals, but also great uncertainty as to whether we are really acquiring a product that matches the current local and international circumstances.

In the developed world, where these businesses are more than 100 years old and where legislation protects the individual and the companies alike, the distribution, advice and follow-up of policies is in the hands of independent producers, called financial planners. They are prepared to analyze, review and suggest, together with each client from an independent position, the needs and products that will guarantee that the planned objectives are met.

Before making a decision on the matter, have an interview with a financial planning consultant, together with him you will be able to define which is the most adequate program according to your current situation, and which is the most flexible, to accommodate the permanent changes to which we are exposed.

It is impossible today to think that magically my situation at retirement age will be desirable if I do not put a plan in place today, the same happens with the possibility of premature death or disability.

Ask for an interview with a financial planner. He/she will be able to guide you and help you to have a real vision of the importance of having a financial planning program.
